We are currently seeking a Behavior Support Provider to join our team in supporting special education students at the San Miguel Joint Union School District. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children with special needs succeed in a structured educational setting.
As a Behavior Support Provider, you will work one-on-one or in small groups with students, implementing individualized educational and behavioral plans. You will collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to support students in meeting their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Support special education students in classroom and other school settings
Implement behavior and educational programs designed for individual students
Track student progress and provide feedback to the educational team
Promote a positive and supportive learning environment
Work under the direction of special education staff and school administrators
Qualifications:
Experience working with children with special needs in a structured setting
Experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree (AA) OR must pass a basic proficiency test
ABA certification preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
Must pass DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance
This position is 6.5 hours per day, 180 days per year (student calendar)
