Job Title: Civil/Environmental Engineer at Trihydro Corporation

The successful candidate will join our Central Coast team in California to support projects in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, assisting clients across many industries with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. This full-time position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week and involves a blend of project management, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform technical research.
Perform design calculations.
Draft figures, prepare construction plan sets, and design modeling.
Prepare technical memorandums and reports.
Develop cost estimates.
Conduct field data collection, perform site inspections and inventories, and perform construction observation, monitoring, and reporting.
Assist project managers/engineers with engineering plans/documents, specifications, and drawings.
Oversee and perform field investigations that include surface reconnaissance, surface mapping, drilling, trenching, and multi-media sample collection (air, water, soil).
Manage and evaluate data, perform analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal standards for regulatory compliance.
Oversee and perform remedial activities for impacted soil (excavation, in situ treatment, etc.), groundwater (extraction, in situ treatment, etc.), and vapor (indoor air mitigation system, engineering controls, etc.).
Manage scope, schedule, budget, and reporting for assigned projects.
Manage project staff and subcontractors, assigning resources as necessary to complete project tasks on schedule and within budget.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients to execute environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Prepare investigation summary, remedy implementation, performance monitoring, and site closure reports for submittal to clients and agencies.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
2-5 years of relevant experience.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with clients and project team members.
Initiative and motivation to complete project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
Working knowledge of health & safety practices and a commitment to safe operations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling tools is helpful).
You are experienced in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or related CADD programs.
The ability to grasp scientific concepts and apply them to technical challenges.

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $80,000 – $90,000
