Abbay Technical Services specializes in ensuring that buildings comply with the California Energy Code (Title 24 Part 6). We work closely with contractors, engineers, drafters, building departments, and homeowners on projects throughout California. Our services cover new construction, additions, and alterations for both commercial and residential projects.
Position: Energy Consultant Trainee
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Starting pay: $18-$20/hour
Initial Responsibilities:
Organize and manage digital files
Learn the company’s processes and operations
Read and understand construction documents
Perform building envelope takeoffs
Conduct basic data input for energy models
Complete online training related to energy compliance
Progression Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of fundamental building concepts
Gain knowledge in energy-efficient building design
Conduct advanced building energy modeling
Perform advanced data input for complex projects
Build and maintain client relationships
Deepen understanding of the California Energy Code
Preferred Skills:
Basic knowledge of building fundamentals (construction, engineering, architecture, etc.)
Strong computer skills for efficient file management and resource organization
Familiarity with thermal energy principles
Proficiency in utilizing online resources
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
