Templeton Mercantile, an amazing multi-concept space in the heart of Downtown Templeton is seeking a qualified candidate to complete our fantastic bar team.
Templeton Mercantile is home to Pig Iron restaurant as well as Club Car Bar, which houses a professionally outfitted indoor music venue and gorgeously hand built bar, featuring a high quality cocktail program with a delicious food menu to match. We need a driven, self-motivated and passionate individual to join our Front Of House crew in continuing to serve the best food + drink in North County. We are looking for someone to fulfill a Bar Back position, who is willing to work shifts Thursday - Saturday.
The ideal candidate should:
- Have proven working experience in a restaurant
- Know how to spot and resolve problems efficiently and professionally
- Provide high quality customer service to a wide variety of guests
- Act as host and provide hospitable environment to guests, answering questions as needed
- Run cash register and ring up guests for food and drink orders
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and be accountable
- Maintain a knowledge of cocktail recipes
- Be able and willing to learn new concepts and recipes
- Be capable of taking on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with others
- Support fellow bar staff during service, restocking and cleaning
- Have a passion for the hospitality industry, keeping up with bartending trends and best practices, and know how to clean as you go
- Be able to work on their feet for long periods of time in a fast paced environment
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Be able to read and comprehend English
