Allegretto Vineyard Resort, a luxury destination known for its world-class service and hospitality, is currently seeking a dedicated Steward / Dishwasher to support our culinary team. What You’ll Do:
As a Steward at Allegretto Vineyard Resort, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen. You’ll work behind the scenes to support chefs and service staff by ensuring all dishes, tools, and kitchen areas are clean, sanitized, and guest-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate commercial dishwashing machines and clean all kitchenware.
Maintain a clean and organized dish station, kitchen, and storage areas.
Assist with kitchen prep work and restocking supplies as needed.
Safely dispose of trash and food waste; replenish firewood for wood-burning equipment.
Support deep cleaning tasks and follow daily cleaning schedules.
Adhere to all state and local food safety and sanitation standards.
Help train and support new dishwashing staff.
Work with urgency and efficiency in a high-volume, professional kitchen.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
Minimum 6 months of relevant experience or equivalent.
Valid Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain one prior to starting).
Ability to follow directions and work independently.
Attention to detail and cleanliness in a repetitive task environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work standing for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a resort or upscale dining environment.
Ability to speak English; Spanish language skills a plus.
