We're looking for an experienced bartender to round out our awesome team at Della's - a wood-fired pizza & cocktail joint in downtown Paso Robles, sister restaurant to The Hatch Rotisserie & Bar.
One bartender deftly accommodates a full bar with dinner service while engaging guests and preparing craft and classic cocktails for the dining room. At tables and at the bar, guests' needs are anticipated and service is thoughtful and precise, humble and approachable. Candidates will have a proven record of crafting multi-step drinks in a fast-paced environment and working well within a team.
3-5 shifts/week are available for a candidate who can be cross-trained to work both the bar and floor.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome guests, anticipate needs, and provide a level of service befitting a casual yet focused, detail-oriented establishment
- Serve consistently good cocktails, offer wine and beer food-pairing advice, and keep ever mindful of responsible beverage service
- Display a passion for hospitality and the Central Coast lifestyle
- Keep a clean bar and floor section, strictly adhering to established sanitation, safety and hygiene guidelines
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of our changing offerings, both in food and beverage, and communicate those accurately to our guests, recognizing sales opportunities
- Cultivate a dedicated bar clientele and restaurant regulars
- Build and maintain relationships and communication with all staff: culinary team, front of house and ownership
- Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and take every opportunity to promote the restaurant
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 3 years experience bartending and waiting tables
- Possess a strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer and wine, especially those products sourced from the Central Coast
- Have a strong understanding of whiskies produced around the world.
- Proven success in garnering a regular clientele
- Possess an inherent knack for gracious hospitality and have a proven record of exhibiting that trait to guests and colleagues alike
