We're looking for a hard working and talented cook to join our culinary team at Della's Wood-Fired Pizza & Cocktails on a full time basis. Our cooks are responsible for working nightly dinner service, upholding culinary standards, and adhering to cleanliness and organization guidelines.
Della's is located in downtown Paso Robles, next door to our "big sister" restaurant The Hatch Rotisserie & Bar. We're known for wood-fired pizza, and are looking for experienced cooks so we can expand our menu to feature an increased number of exciting, ingredient-focused, and purposeful menu items.
Our restaurant is dinner-only with most shifts starting at 3pm. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years experience in a high volume/fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to provide references from former or current employers. Experience in wood-fired programs is a plus!
Pay starts at $20/hour plus tip-outs.
Della's is a swanky-casual, Cal-Ital concept with an open kitchen. Service is fast paced and our cooks work efficiently and cleanly, taking pride in the food we present to our guests.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform delegated tasks from Chef and ownership
- Day to day station preparation according to company standards
- Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Close the kitchen on a nightly basis, adhering to set checklists for cleanliness and organization
- Maintain a prep list of station needs
- Follow the FIFO method to maximize freshness
- Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
