Job Overview:

As the Kitchen Manager/Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, staffing, and ensuring that the kitchen meets health and safety standards. You’ll lead by example, ensuring the team works efficiently and delivers a high standard of food. Your leadership will be key in creating a positive and collaborative work environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.

Develop and create new menus and dishes in collaboration with the management team.

Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring the team performs efficiently and to the highest standards.

Ensure all food preparation is done according to food safety and health regulations.

Monitor inventory, manage ordering, and maintain cost-effective use of ingredients and supplies.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.

Handle scheduling, and timekeeping for kitchen staff.

Troubleshoot and resolve kitchen issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar culinary leadership role.

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.

Passionate about food and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
