Templeton Mercantile, an amazing multi-concept space in the heart of Downtown Templeton is seeking qualified candidates to fill our BoH team.
Pig Iron, our main restaurant and full bar, offers a thoughtfully casual dining experience serving “California Comfort Food”, which highlights many seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Our Mercantile shop offers a selection of local and curated grocery items, apparel and home goods for purchase. Our recently opened final concept, Club Car Bar, houses a professionally outfitted indoor music venue and Western lounge, featuring a high quality cocktail program with a bar food menu to match.
We need driven, self-motivated and passionate individuals to join our kitchen crew in continuing to serve the best food in North County. Weekend availability required.
We are hiring for a PM Kitchen Manager, PM Lead Line Cook and Dishwasher/Prep positions. Compensation for management starts at $25/hr+ depending on experience.
Compensation for line cooks starts at $20/hr+ depending on experience (plus tips).
Ideal candidates should:
- Have proven working experience in a kitchen
- Know how to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Be capable of taking on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with others
- Be capable of efficiently prioritizing tasks
- Be capable of leading by example with level disposition, avoiding overwhelm
- Be self-motivated and capable of fulfilling food orders that showcase our high standard for dish presentation and quality
- Be open and receptive to constructive direction from supervisors and management as needed
- Be reliable and able to adhere to a given schedule, maintaining reasonable flexibility when necessary
- Have a passion for the industry, keeping up with cooking trends and best practices, and know how to clean as you go
- Be able to work on their feet for long periods of time in a fast paced environment
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Be able to read and comprehend English
