Restaurant Host (Full-Time)

We are hiring a Restaurant Host (Full-Time) to join our team at JUSTIN! This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about providing world-class customer service and looking to grow their career at a highly esteemed establishment. The Restaurant Host will support the front and back of the house, greet guests politely and professionally, and escort them to their appropriate table.

The work schedule is Thursday - Sunday (3:00 PM - closing). This position requires weekend availability and the ability to work long nights. Based at our JUSTIN Estate: 11680 Chimney Rock Road, Paso Robles, CA 93446.

Job Description

- Provides an excellent customer experience to uphold Forbes 5-star services/standards and follows all company and safety procedures and policies

- Meets, greets, and escorts guests to their table upon arrival (takes coat checks if needed)

- Responsible for memorization of the food and wine menu and full knowledge of the guest's preferred dining experience for the evening (dislikes, allergies, dietary restrictions, special occasions, etc.)

- Serves the mignardise and petit/fours and supports the servers by running any other food or water to the tables

- Assists the dining room with set up, break down, clearing food, wiping down furniture, and other cleaning duties as needed

- Sets up décor such as candles, flowers, vases, lighting, and other décor to maintain the ambiance

- Supports in mis en place and preparation of service areas (BOH/FOH areas)

- Participates and ensures compliance with all opening and closing duties as determined and published by the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef

- Closing and opening side work including but not limited to polishing glasses, flatware, napkin folds, etc.

- Keeps up to date on new JUSTIN releases as well as viticulture and winemaking techniques

- Prepares give-a-way bags for guests and escorts to the exit at the conclusion of their dinner

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant setting

- Shows a strong interest in customer service

- Ability to work full-time (30-35 hours per week) and late nights, weekends, and holidays

- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English

- High School Diploma or GED required

- Professional appearance and demeanor

- Food Handlers' Card

Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour, plus tips. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
