Job Description:

The role of the Roundsman is to prepare culinary items to chef and customer satisfaction and to execute the menu, ensuring a high level of performance, guest satisfaction, and profitability in addition to ability to step in to all stations and to manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook barbecue pork, ribs, and chicken according to established recipes and standards.

Assist in the preparation of side dishes such as coleslaw, baked beans, and cornbread.

Utilize kitchen equipment to shred cabbage and other ingredients as required.

Demonstrate proficiency in knife skills and handle knives safely and effectively.

Collaborate closely with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and ensure timely service.

Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.

Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.

Interact with colleagues and customers in a professional, courteous manner at all times.

Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate early morning shifts during peak seasons and varying customer demand.

Requirements:

Possession of a valid Serve Safe certification is mandatory for this position. Candidates who do not hold this certification must obtain it.

Preference will be given to candidates with an ABC Service License for serving beer and wine. Employer will cover the cost of obtaining the license. This can be acquired online through the training modules.

Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
