Field Recordings is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated candidate with hospitality and/or sales experience to join our team as a Tasting Room Attendant in our Paso Robles Tasting Room. Tasting Room Attendants are responsible for effectively promoting the sale of wine, and acquiring new wine club members on a daily basis. Leading candidates will consistently demonstrate outstanding sales ability and customer service skills executed with poise and tact. All efforts are focused on attaining monthly sales and acquisition goals while providing meaningful encounters for our guests and team.

DUTIES:

- Greets all visitors to the Tasting Room, pours wines for tasting, discusses wine and responds to customer questions as appropriate.

- Provides a friendly atmosphere and outstanding customer service ensuring that every visitor enjoys their wine - tasting experience and leaves with a very high impression of our wines.

- Effectively promotes and sells Field Recordings wine as well as Wine Club membership to customers.

- Operates VineSpring POS and handles routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash register, accounting of daily sales, and processing returns and discounts.

- Opening and closing responsibilities.

- General housekeeping including, but not limited to; sweeping, mopping, washing/polishing glassware for Tasting

- Room & window washing.

- Works with shipping department, facilitates shipping of wine to customers and meets all compliance and regulatory requirements of wine shipments.

- Participates and assists with special hospitality events that occur at the winery and off site.

- Is knowledgeable about wines — not required, but appreciated.

- Inform clients of winery history, appellations and unique aspects of wines, while taking the initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, our brands, general hospitality, and for acquiring effective sales techniques.

- Work on additional projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 21 years of age

- Has a high school diploma or GED.

- Possesses professional appearance and demeanor.

- Must be able to work weekdays & weekends with a flexible schedule.

- Prior sales experience a plus

- Consistently demonstrates outstanding customer service skills, poise and tact while working with the public with a proven ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with a diverse client group.

- Is flexible, can manage constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

- Ability to be able to lift up and move 50 lbs frequently and repeatedly.

- Prior POS & cash drawer experience.

- Strong computer proficiency and data entry experience, basic to intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel preferred.

- Highly organized and able to work in an unsupervised environment.

- Able to stand, walk, bend for extended periods of time.

- Ability to effectively stock wine, set-up and break down procedures, equipment, etc., and be able to utilize dolly cart and assist in moving heavy objects.

- Possesses or can develop a solid knowledge of wines and winemaking processes.

- Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions

Compensation: hourly, dependent on experience
