Searching for an aide for our young adult son with autism. He is sweet, very active and verbal. The position is in a private home and includes teaching piano as well as encouraging more language acquisition. Reading books with a focus on teaching reading comprehension and articulation. Some experience with teaching individuals with autism is required. Speech and language background very useful. He is an outstanding pianist, so the ability to sight read and play a little by ear is necessary. Singing background would also be helpful. House is fenced and gated so there's plenty of time spent outside in the country.We also have dogs. Our son requires consistency and someone who is reliable.
Position is about 10 hrs weekly( 4 days a week). Exact schedule to be determined based on other caregivers and your availability.
CPR and first aide training necessary. DOJ background check required.
