About SLO Noor Foundation Health Clinics: SLO Noor Foundation is a non-profit organization providing free medical, dental and vision care to uninsured adults in San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County, regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, religion, sexual orientation, or gender.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists medical providers during patient visits and with providing patient education pertaining to their ongoing health care.
- May act as an interpreter when necessary between patient and provider.
- Interviews patients to obtain medical information and reason for seeking care; takes vital signs and prepares patients for providers.
- Performs CLIA waived tests in office laboratory
- Provides reception, answers phones, takes messages, and schedules appointments.
- Maintains and adheres to HIPAA, employee confidentiality, and privileged communications
(patient, employee, and organization).
- Perform other duties within scope of the position as assigned by the Executive Director or Manager
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bilingual Required - ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish and English
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certification from an accredited school in Clinical Medical Assisting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as part of a team
- Computer aptitude with experience in Electronic Medical Records preferred
- Must have a valid California Driver's License and clean DMV record
