If you are an Orthodontic Assistant (or experienced Dental Assistant) who is looking for less office commotion and more independence and self-reliance to do your job, this may be a great opportunity for you!
Our orthodontic team is searching for a back-office lead assistant to join us! We have a unique practice that is not high volume, uses many different treatment modalities, loves kids and teens but treats all ages, including a significant number of adults with interesting multi-specialty treatments.
You don’t have to be an orthodontic expert, we can help with that, but some back-office management and chair-side experience would be advantageous (having had braces is also a plus).
In addition to normal direct patient care, you will eventually keep track of back office processes such as ordering/inventory, lab tracking, Invisalign case submission, back office setup, scheduling coordination with the front office, and patient records management. Some valued skills are: the ability to size, place and remove various orthodontic wires, bands, and appliances; take and pour and process impressions (yes, we still like that); confidently instruct patients on oral hygiene and use of various orthodontic devices; take panoramic and cephalometric radiographs; manage sterilization; and all the things.
Our Spanish-speaking patients (and we) will be extra extra happy if you are bilingual.
We work 3 1/2 to 4 days per week, Tuesday to Friday, with one day in Arroyo Grande each week.
