We are a small, fence construction company seeking an experienced Office Manager / Human Resources professional to manage office operations, HR functions, and run payroll, including certified payroll requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and familiar with construction payroll and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily office operations (phones, emails, scheduling, filing)
Responsible for running payroll, including timecard review and processing
Prepare and submit certified payroll using DIR and LCP Tracker
Ensure payroll compliance with prevailing wage requirements
Properly calculate, deduct, and remit wage garnishments (child support, tax levies, etc.)
Balance payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
Handle HR duties: onboarding/offboarding, employee records, job postings, and interview coordination
Maintain confidentiality of employee information
Manage accounts payable/receivable and invoicing
Assist with job paperwork, permits, and project documentation
Coordinate communication between office staff and field crews
Qualifications:
Experience in office management and/or human resources
Strong payroll processing experience required, including certified payroll
Familiarity with DIR and LCP Tracker preferred
Knowledge of wage garnishments and payroll compliance
Construction industry experience preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
QuickBooks experience is a plus (company uses QuickBooks)
Schedule & Pay:
Full-time - possible part time to start off
Pay DOE (depending on experience)
