SWIMMING POOL Construction Supervisor - Superintendent
Job Responsibilities
As a Construction Supervisor you will oversee all phases of the construction or remodeling of residential and/ or commercial swimming pool or spa projects from takeoffs to final inspection. You will supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of your crews. You will be responsible for inspecting work progress, construction sites and equipment to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
Other responsibilities of the Supervisor role include:
Work on permit packets and submittals for county approval
⢠Reading blueprints to determine requirements and to plan procedures
⢠Coordinating work activities with other project leaders
⢠Assigning work to employees based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs
⢠Estimating material or worker requirements to complete jobs
⢠Conferring with management to resolve problems or to coordinate activities
⢠Analyzing production problems and recommending solutions
⢠Improving production methods and implementing motivational plans
Requirements
As a Construction Supervisor you must be a motivated leader who is highly organized and able to communicate effectively as a supervisor. Qualified candidates are able to influence others and create a team-oriented environment. You must be able to manage multiple projects while being innovative and creative in challenging situations.
Other requirements of the Supervisor and Laborer roles include:
⢠3-5 years of experience in the swimming pool industry is a plus
⢠Education or training in construction or related field
⢠Experience working with building inspectors and general contractors
⢠Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
⢠Strong analytical skills in evaluating situations
Must have a valid driver's license
⢠Ability to receive, comprehend and communicate information and ideas clearly
