About the Position:
We are looking for a full-time facility maintenance employee to help with routine shop work and some facilities improvements/maintenance. The ideal candidate for this job is someone with a positive attitude who is dependable and willing to take direction. The tasks are basic but it is important that they are completed accurately. This position requires basic mechanical and construction knowledge, strong physical abilities and close attention to detail. Note: this is not a gender-specific position; all capable people are encouraged to apply.
Duties & Responsibilities
Construction projects, demolition and facilities maintenance
Packaging parts for parcel shipment; building crates for freight shipments
Cleaning equipment and parts; maintaining a clean and organized work space
Cleaning facility including mopping shop floors; cleaning offices & bathrooms.
Operating forklift
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
CA driver’s license required.
Able to be drug-free (our policy requires random drug screening).
Able to lift, stack and move heavy materials (50+ pounds); climb ladders, etc.
Preferred experience: General construction, forklift operation, skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Details
Hours: full-time, 40 hours/ week
Schedule: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday
Pay: $23/hour
Benefits: 401(k) with 2% match, medical/dental/vision insurance, 10 days PTO, 12 paid holidays
Commitment: Preference given to candidates that could stay longer than one year.
