Job Title: Shop Operations – Construction Material Handler
Location: Paso Robles, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, 4x10 Hour Shifts
Pay: $20 per hour
Position Summary:
We’re seeking a reliable Material Handler to support daily operations in our construction shop and warehouse. This role is responsible for loading, unloading, organizing, and preparing construction materials and equipment for projects. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in a fast-paced shop or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks with construction materials and equipment
Organize inventory and maintain clean, safe workspaces
Prepare materials and tools for field crews
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training available)
Perform basic inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment
Assist with shipping, receiving, and documentation as needed
Follow all safety procedures and company protocols
Support general warehouse and shop operations
Qualifications:
Prior warehouse, construction, or material handling experience preferred
Forklift experience/certification a plus (or willing to train)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-minded
Required
Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs. regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of experience in construction, warehouse operations, or material handling.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
Must pass a drug screen and a background screen
