GeoSolutions is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Technician at our San Luis Obispo office.
Duties and responsibilities:
Fieldwork related to soils engineering and construction, including compaction testing of soils, aggregates, and asphalt.
Observation of grading activities and foundation construction, identification and sampling of construction materials, and special inspection of concrete, masonry and steel.
Communication with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor's representatives and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
Nuclear testing gauge, ACI and ICC certifications (reinforced concrete, structural masonry, pre-stressed concrete) preferred.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Prior experience working in geotechnical environment a plus.
Must be familiar with Microsoft programs.
Math, analytical, and writing skills are required and must be willing to “learn by doing.”
Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
