Assistant Property Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Management Assistant with strong Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) skills to support our property management team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of managing properties, ensuring efficient financial processes, excellent tenant communication, and smooth office operations.

Key Responsibilities: Property Management Support

Assist in managing a portfolio of properties, including tenant relations, lease administration, and maintenance coordination.

Respond to tenant inquiries, process work orders, and follow up on service requests.

Maintain accurate property files, lease agreements, and vendor records.

Accounts Payable (AP)

Review, code, and process invoices in a timely manner.

Verify vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.

Prepare and manage payments to vendors and service providers.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Generate and distribute monthly rent statements to tenants.

Process tenant payments and deposits, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Follow up on delinquent accounts and prepare reports on outstanding balances.

Office Coordination

Handle administrative tasks such as correspondence, filing, and scheduling.

Support the property manager with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

2+ years of experience in property management, accounting, or a related field.

Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes and financial principles.

Proficient in property management software ( AppFolio, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with lease agreements and property management regulations.

Experience in customer service and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Morning shift
