Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager with a comprehensive background in accounting and bookkeeping to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a variety of office operations and financial tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient business processes. This role will involve handling all aspects of accounting, human resources, and office management.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping:
Full charge bookkeeping, including maintaining general ledger, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R)
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records
Handle monthly sales tax filings and reports
Manage monthly workers' compensation reporting
Process payroll and manage HR records
Office Management:
Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and organization (Including one assistant)
Manage office supplies and coordinate with vendors
Maintain office filing and record-keeping systems
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Generate monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, particularly related to taxes and reporting
Human Resources:
Assist with employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws
Maintain accurate employee records and assist with payroll processing
Qualifications:
Proven experience with QuickBooks
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting
Experience with monthly work comp reporting, sales tax, and payroll
Strong HR and record-keeping experience
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Experience in a similar office management or accounting role
Preferred:
Experience in a growing organization and willing to learn new programs and streamline processes.
Wage: $35-$45per hour
