Are you passionate about providing exceptional skincare services in a serene luxurious environment? We are seeking a professional, motivated, and trainable esthetician to join our team at Ritual Skin and Body Care in Arroyo Grande. Our mission is to help clients feel confident, balanced, and radiant through personalized advanced treatments and holistic rituals in a calming upscale setting.
OUTCOMES
- Product Sales: Achieve a weekly product sales target of 10-15% of total service revenue.
- Client Retention: Maintain a client retention rate of 75-80% or higher through exceptional service and personalized follow-ups.
- Booking Efficiency: Strive for 80% or higher appointment booking rates by fostering client trust and offering consistent value.
- Time Management: Begin and end services on time while providing a thorough and relaxing experience for every client.
- Team Support: Assist in maintaining treatment room cleanliness, stocking supplies, and contributing to overall efficiency of the spa.
TASKS
- Conduct thorough consultations and skin analyses to create personalized treatment plans.
- Complete client records and ensure all service notes are up to date.
- Monitor inventory levels for treatment and retail products and notify management when stock is low.
- Actively participate in team meetings, training, and promotional events.
- Reach out to clients for follow-ups, appointment reminders, or to recommend products to support their goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and tranquil experience for every client.
- Perform advanced skincare treatments and rituals with precision, care, and attention to detail, ensuring optimal results for clients.
- Consult with clients to understand their unique skincare needs and recommend appropriate treatments, products, and home care routines.
- Create engaging social media content, including client photos (with consent), treatment highlights, and product features, to support the spa’s marketing efforts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and serene treatment room and contribute to the overall ambiance and efficiency of the spa.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of common areas, including the reception area, bathroom, and outdoor spaces, ensuring a luxurious client experience.
- Promote and educate clients about our exclusive product offerings, ensuring alignment with their skincare goals.
Process client payments accurately and ensure proper recording of transactions.
- Support the smooth operation of the spa by assisting with scheduling, inventory, and other behind-the-scenes tasks as needed.
- Represent the brand with an upscale, professional demeanor at all times, reflecting the values of Ritual Skin and Body Care
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience as an esthetician (preferred, but not required)
- Health and Wellness Certifications (preferred, but not required)
- California esthetician license in good standing
- Impeccable professionalism and presentation. Punctuality and reliability are essential
- Passion for holistic skincare and providing a personalized client experience
- Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and adapt to new techniques and technologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, grounded presence
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
- Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and evenings. Schedule may change from week to week

COMPENSATION
- Hourly Rate: $28 to $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- 5% commission pay based on retail sales
- Opportunity for increased hours and days as clientele grows
- Part-time schedule (2-4 days per week)
- Incentive bonuses
