Automotive Mechanic at San Luis Auto Repair & SMOG.

Accepting applications from entry-level to advanced-level mechanics. The more experience, education, tools, valid CDL, and performance the higher the starting pay.
As a Mechanic, you are required to complete a variety of jobs quickly and correctly. Must be reliable, pay attention to detail, and be motivated to complete each job correctly and efficiently.
Job Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities as a Mechanic:
Ability to perform annual inspections, preventative maintenance, oil changes on all car models, completely assess the vehicle, including brakes, fluids, belts, and tires. Communicate and report assessment to Manager of any needed repairs and updates to determine the best course of action. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently. Evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles using diagnostic equipment. Possess the knowledge of removal and replacement of various car parts. Be capable of disassembling, assembling, and troubleshooting.
Maintain a 100% hazard-free work environment with zero safety issues. Must be able to accurately assess vehicles and perform repairs in a professional manner while being a team player with a great attitude.
Automotive technical education preferred
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Valid CDL driver's license
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Automotive computer experience a plus
One year of hands-on education and/or repair experience preferred
Knowledge of A/C systems, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance helpful
ASE Certifications preferred
Basic mechanic's tools preferred
Experienced mechanics are encouraged to apply
