Barnick Wood Design Inc. Is seeking an Apprentice / Helper to learn the Valuable trade of Cabinet Installer. We are a Fully Custom Cabinet Shop building for the Finest homes on the Central Coast. We are looking for somebody who is passionate about Woodworking, loves problem solving and is a quick learner. We will hire and train an individual who has a long term vision of making this their Carrier. The successful candidate will need to:
-Work in a safe manner as to not injure yourself or the people around us.
-Help carry, move heavy Cabinetry into place.
-Be Mindful and Careful of all Finished surfaces in the homes we work in.
-Assist the Installer in the Cabinet Installation efforts. The quicker you learn and pick up how to do things, the more you will be able to do.
-Set up and tear down Shop every day. Chop saw, table saw, tools, cords, drills, screws, shims, etc.
-Anticipate the Installers next move or need and provide them that assistance.
-Keep the company truck and our work areas impeccably clean and organized at all times.
-Maintain a list that you carry with yourself that will have notes of items we need to get for the job site or to restock the install truck.
-Drive to run errands. Must have a clean DMV
