Entry-level construction apprentice/laborer position available with an Atascadero-based company that is focused on energy-efficient homes, remodels, and energy upgrades. Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of construction and power tool experience. Candidate must also be motivated and capable of reading and following work orders, receiving direct supervision, and completing technical training.
Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities
Assist a tradesperson with construction and remodeling projects.
Framing, Concrete, Etc.
Learn and practice essential carpentry skills on the job.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Set up and maintain tools for your tradesperson.
Minimum candidate requirements:
Extremely responsible and always on time.
One-year of experience in construction and use of power tools: skill saws, drills, etc.
Physically fit and without fear of climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.
High-school graduate with good reading, writing, and at least basic math skills.
Willing to engage in technical training on building efficiency and energy-related topics.
Aiming for excellence and motivated to grow personally with long-term goals in construction.
Clean DMV record with no DUI’s and no drug or criminal convictions
Must pass criminal background check.
Reliable transportation needed.
The starting hourly wage will be dependent on experience.
