Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and eager Glazier Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you’ll work closely with experienced glaziers, learning the trade while providing support in all aspects of the glass and window installation process. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and grow within a hands-on trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in measuring windows and glass panels for installation
Learn the proper techniques for cutting, shaping, and installing glass
Work alongside journeyman glaziers to assist with window installations and repairs
Follow safety protocols and assist with the maintenance of tools and equipment
Observe and learn best practices for handling and working with different types of glass
Support in removing old glass and preparing window frames for new installations
Help with the organization and transportation of materials to job sites
Learn about glass types, glazing methods, and industry standards
Qualifications:
Strong interest in learning the glass trade
Good physical stamina and ability to work with your hands
Detail-oriented with a focus on precision
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to job sites in company vehicles
Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
