SAN LUIS OBISPO PAINTING COMPANY is seeking to hire Painter Apprentices And High Quality Painters.
We are a small residential and in shop painting company. We are seeking high-quality painters that take pride and have a strong work ethic and care about their craftsmanship. We have full time and part time positions and need the best of the best talent to make this possible.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting
- Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces
- Use brushes, rollers, or sprayers to apply paint or other finishes
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas
- Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers
- Sandpaper or scrape off old paint or loose debris from surfaces
- Cleanup work areas and remove hazardous materials
Frequent lifting and carrying painting equipment, occasional lifting up to 65 lbs. paint cans, pulling, standing, walking, reaching, sitting, kneeling, occasional crawling and reclining, frequent climbing, balancing, pushing, occasional arm rotation, frequent manual and finger dexterity. Hearing warning signals and reading and comprehending safety instructions. Must be able to maintain general safety awareness and avoid hazards commonly present in employee’s work area.
Qualifications:
Experienced Painters. Must have transportation, Must have knowledge of surface preparation procedures, proper use and mixing of paints. Must have the ability to read and understand the Product Data Sheet. Must have the ability to identify paint application requirements and equipment needed for coating application. Must be able to operate high reach equipment. Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and work any shift. Must be able to access and move around safely; must have the ability to observe differences in color. Must comprehend written and verbal instructions and hear warning signals, read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations, and warnings. Must keep a clean and professional work area and appearance. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must have personal hand tools.

Compensation: $20 To $35 An Hour Depending On Experience
