Digital Designer / Project Manager

Jaguar Design Studio is a fast-paced event design studio working with some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley. We are looking for an organized digital designer with a good technical understanding, a fantastic eye for detail, and the ability to take a project from conception to completion.

This is a full time position, working 8am – 5pm Mon – Fri Pacific Time. We are looking for designers either in Santa Cruz, or in Atascadero and the surrounding areas (SLO County, Santa Maria, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

Designing registration forms, microsites, emails and various kinds of digital collaterals

Creating and enhancing existing templates

Understanding our event platform and designing registration paths

Documenting and visualizing project requirements

Working closely with our in-house developers and project managers to see the projects built and tested all the way through to final delivery

Participating in meetings with clients to capture requirements and communicate progress

Develop timelines for projects and ensure all milestones are met

Updating and editing content in content management systems

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working in a multi-disciplinary team with a digital focus

Strong understanding of UI and UX principles and best practices

Comfortable working within the constraints of corporate design guidelines

Knowledge of contributing to, and maintaining, design systems

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency

Capability to manage multiple projects at a time, to prioritize and adapt quickly as requirements change

Ability to assimilate briefs and feedback

Excellent communication skills, with excellent verbal and written English

Strong skills in Figma, or similar digital design applications, e.g. Adobe XD, Sketch

Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, and a good general knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite

Working knowledge of creating and refining motion graphics using common animation applications, e.g. Adobe After Effects a plus

Experience with working in project management tools, e.g. Asana, Jira

Basic understanding of reading and writing HTML/ CSS and using content management systems

Willingness to learn new technologies

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, 2-4 weeks of the year
