Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer for a 12 month contract position with our client in the SEO industry located in San Francisco, CA.
Summary:
Build and maintain Android and Desktop experiences and related backend that are used by Expression team, specifically tools and experiences communicating in digital spaces.
Overall Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining a suite of Android and Desktop applications and related backend data pipelines/servers, including making bug fixes and managing releases without disrupting active operations.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Development and release of Android and Desktop experiences for expressive input tools, and the related backend data processing pipelines/servers.
Collaborate with stakeholders from operations, tools, and engineering teams for work prioritization and to handle escalations.
Clearly communicate updates and questions to stakeholders in person, over email, or via the internal work management system Write, review, and update technical documentation of each application.
Requirements:
BS / MS in Computer Science or equivalent 3-5 years of Android App and/or Desktop design, development, testing, and maintenance experience.
Proficiency in Java.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiar with Android debugging tools
Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no corp to corp)
Desired:
Preferable to have experience in parallel data processing pipelines, servers, and tools.
Preferable to have experience working with Unicode.
