Job Title: Security Personnel
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Security Personnel to join our team at a small bar. As a Security Personnel, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff.
Your primary role will be to deter potential threats, handle incidents and disturbances, and ensure the overall well-being of everyone in the establishment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible presence at the entrance and throughout the bar to deter any unwanted behavior or activities.
- Help pick up empty glassware at the tables to keep active attention to all guests.
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Monitor guest behavior and respond promptly and appropriately to any disturbances or potential threats.
- Handle difficult situations calmly and professionally, defusing conflicts and de-escalating tense encounters.
- Collaborate with management and other staff members to enforce bar policies and procedures, such as age verification and responsible alcohol service.
- Escort unruly or intoxicated guests from the premises, ensuring their safety and the safety of others.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary, providing them with accurate information and support during incidents.
- Stay updated on current security trends and best practices, attending training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar security role, preferably in a bar or hospitality setting.
- Excellent observational skills and the ability to identify potential security risks or threats.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and assertive in stressful situations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to alcohol service, safety, and security.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Possession of a valid security license or certification.
