Pay:
Election Technician: $21.20/hour
Stock Clerk: $19.12/hour
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team during election season. We have openings for both office/technical staff and warehouse staff.
Position 1: Election Technician (Office/Technical Staff)
Pay: $21.20/hour
Responsibilities:
Research and apply election-related codes and regulations.
Assist with candidate filings: process documents, verify residence/political affiliation, accept and proofread statements of qualifications, and handle filing fees.
Respond to inquiries from candidates, officeholders, voters, and the public about elections and campaign requirements.
Prepare correspondence, legal documents, reports, and audits; process invoices, payments, and deposits.
Verify, code, and enter information into data systems; maintain voter registration files and election-related records.
Process voter registration documents, absentee ballots, and petitions; ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Operate office equipment, including computers and voting machines.
May supervise deployment/collection centers, recruit and train election staff, evaluate polling places for accessibility, and participate in voter outreach activities.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills for public interaction.
Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
Must comply with all election regulations.
Position 2: Stock Clerk (Warehouse Staff)
Pay: $19.12/hour
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect goods against invoices and fill requisitions.
Assist in physical inventories and maintain records of goods received and issued.
Pick up and deliver materials, including heavy boxes, to various locations within the courthouse or departmental offices.
Perform manual or semi-skilled tasks related to assembling, repair, or maintenance of materials as needed.
Maintain safe work practices in lifting and handling materials.
Qualifications:
Valid California driver’s license.
Knowledge of traffic rules, safe lifting methods, and general warehouse safety practices.
Ability to perform manual labor tasks efficiently and safely.
