Well-established automotive metal finishing supplier is searching for production/assembly hardware workers at its facility in Stockton.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Loads and unloads various aluminum car parts, components, and other materials into and out of cages/racks for processing. Daily hardware assembly with hand tools into automotive parts across one or more production areas ensuring required standards of quality are met
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to all Company Policy & Procedures and Department Procedures.
Notifies Lead, Supervisor, or Management of problems which affect the production / quality of parts
Completes all assignments in a timely manner and procedures are followed.
Responsible for quality and quantity of products.
Packs products in a manner to protect product from damage during shipment.
Works with limited or no supervision
Use standard boxes, crates or skids for shipments.
Constructs nonstandard boxes or containers, if required.
Selects materials for packing or protection of product and method of bracing or blocking to prevent shifting or damage while in transit.
Applies required labels to boxes.
Must have knowledge of material speeds and feeds, fixturing and tooling.
Demonstrate good hand and eye coordination with ability to use both hands in installing small hardware pieces
REASONING ABILITIES:
Uses good judgment; seeks advice and help when necessary.
Must be able to distinguish between acceptable and non-acceptable parts.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
High attention for quality while maintaining a high rate of productivity.
Can safely lift 50 pounds, standing / walking in relatively confined areas
Ability to work day/swing/night/ weekend shift as required.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent.
