Weekend Shifts Needed- all hours. Part Time
PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, performs production tasks involved in the manufacturing of plastics products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included, but are not limited to the following:
Promotes a strong safety culture and help provide oversight of safe work practices.
Sets a positive example for employees by actively participating in completion of daily work and promoting company policies, procedures and goals.
Proactively participates in a company “team” approach; and effectively communicates operational needs and priorities with internal team members.
Follows procedures and JSA’s- performing duties such as; hand and machine packing, routine bottle inspection, insertion of corrugated material, stacking of boxes, labeling, erecting boxes, grinding plastic, load and unload bottles from conveyor and general production work.
Visually check quality of print against approved sample; (check if light or dark, check if off-center, check if faded or missing print, check molding parts for shorts, flash, strings, grease, etc.).
Performs some janitorial work, maintains a clean and orderly work area and follows GMP guidelines.
Required to assemble cartons, remove flash from bottles with firm hand movement, lift boxes weighing up to 35lbs, palletize boxes and/or place boxes/pallets, operate carton erector both manual and automatic.
Ability to maintain appropriate speed assigned each press.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous production experience preferred.
Good manual dexterity.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Manual/Automated packing experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand directions/instructions
