The Commercial Solar Installer will provide install support on large scale commercial solar projects and have a solid understanding of the installation; from layout to final inspection. The ideal candidate will have a background in residential or commercial solar installations. Must have a go-getter attitude, show up to work, and be willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
This is a Temp-to-Hire position! Guaranteed 6-months of full time work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install large scale Commercial solar projects in a timely fashion.
Install active solar systems, including solar PV modules and all necessary racking systems.
Install PV systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
Install required labels on solar system components and hardware.
Apply weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms.
System commissioning and documentation, as needed for completion.
Ensure installation of work performed is of great workmanship and complaint with State and local codes.
Work with local inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectations, seeing project through to Final Sign Off.
Follow safe working practices at all times on the job site.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous hands-on experience in Solar Installation
Familiarity with basic Building & Safety and Fire codes.
Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold weather, crawl spaces, etc.).
Professional demeanor with clients.
Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
Must meet the physical demands of this position, with the ability to safely lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to successfully pass Background and Drug Screening.
