Position Overview:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our trailer manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities to maintain efficiency and safety standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to cutting machines, welding equipment, hydraulic systems, and other tools.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any issues or potential malfunctions.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and repair problems promptly.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or servicing as needed.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available for maintenance and repairs.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
Keep maintenance records up to date and document all repairs and maintenance activities.
Perform general facility maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and carpentry work.
Collaborate with other team members to support production schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Knowledge of welding processes and equipment is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external vendors.
