West Coast Arborists, Inc. a union company and industry leader in tree maintenance, is hiring Plant Health Care (PHC) Coordinator. There is flexibility to work in Northern California area cities like Stockton, Bay area and or San Jose.
Provide professional Plant Health Care (PHC) and sustainable pest management services and strive to grow a profit driven division that compliments the other services provided by WCA.
WORK HOURS
7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Saturdays for training and customer requests as needed. Work outside of normal business hours may be required at times.
SALARY
Starting salary up to $104,000.00 annually per D.O.E.

QUALIFICATIONS
High level of organizational skills and computer literacy, along with basic clerical aptitude. ISA Certified Arborist with extensive knowledge of arboriculture, including tree species and pest identification. High school diploma and college degree in arboriculture or related horticultural field experience. Shall have a valid California Department of Pesticide Regulation Qualified Applicator and Pest Control Advisor License and valid driver’s license. Knowledge of California pest control issues.
REGULAR JOB DUTIES
Maintain communication with PHC Manager and Regional Area Managers
Ensure all chemicals use is properly and accurately reported by law to schools, local county, and state agencies. Reports are to be stored in Anaheim and company data base
Provide required notification by law to customers of scheduled PHC services
Assist Marketing, PHC Manager and Regional Area Managers on pricing PHC services
Train regional, data collection, and PHC staff on safe chemical handling and storage, pest and wildlife issues, and sustainable pest management for California DPR CEUs
Assist Business Development, PHC Manger and Regional Area Managers to market PHC services
Promote AAOL and WCA mobile as tools to help organize and market PHC services
Perform arborist reports and tree risk assessments as requested by City Inspector/PHC Manager
Network with city staff, professional organizations and industry on PHC standards and practices
Perform PHC services in the field, provide on-site instruction and supervision
Participate with PHC Manager in daily scheduling of crews
Assist PHC Manager with equipment and chemical purchasing and management

PHC Manager, occasionally taking direction from VP of Field Operations and other Management Team members, when necessary.
