Responsibilities
Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Load and unload items from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
Communicate effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and address any inquiries or concerns.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments.
Skills
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficient in operating box trucks, vans, flatbeds and manual transmission vehicles.
Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
