Spanner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician in the TRACY, CA area to join our fast-growing and dedicated team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing onsite and roadside preventative maintenance and repairs to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, keeping our customers’ fleets on the move.

What You’ll Do:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on Class 6–8 trucks and trailers.
Respond to emergency roadside service calls.
Diagnose and repair a wide range of truck systems, including electrical, brakes, cooling, air conditioning, engines, clutches, transmissions, and differentials.
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues.
Road test vehicles to confirm repairs.
Maintain company-issued service truck and complete pre/post trip inspections.
Order and manage parts from approved vendors.
Ensure safety standards are met at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Diesel Technician (Class 6–8 trucks and trailers).
Proficiency in DOT inspections and air brake repairs.
Strong communication skills with ability to interact with drivers and customers.
Comfortable using mobile devices and email for documentation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Positive, safety-focused, and self-motivated attitude.
Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (last 3 years).
Must provide your own set of hand tools.
Work Environment:
Outdoor and roadside work in various weather conditions.
Exposure to heavy traffic, diesel fumes, dust, and noise.
Physical requirements: lifting/moving heavy objects, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
