Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs., work with some solvents and chemicals, and wear all required PPE necessary to complete work tasks. Must follow all EH&S rules and regulations at all times. Good record keeping skills are necessary. Computer experience required. Must be able to work overtime as necessary, per business needs. Must be able to work 2nd shift and/or be reassigned shift if it is dictated by business needs, and any additional duties required by leadership.

4+ years of mfg experience or Qualified Operator

Thorough understanding of customer and PPG drawings

Understanding of Acceptance Test Procedures and applicable forms

Understanding of all applicable internal, customer and government quality procedures and requirements

Government Clearance where applicable

Knowledge of QAD and MQ1 quality processes

Computer knowledge

o Some optical experience. Able to effectively distinguish material characteristics related to distortion, haze, inclusions, and other optical defects.o Be proficient in using applicable inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, photographic and electrical equipment to make product quality determinations.o Ability to confirm and approve incoming, in-process, and finished products using applicable specifications, tools, procedures, processes, etc.o Able to clearly document any unacceptable materials and assist with identifying appropriate root cause and corrective actions.o Understanding of basic statistics and statistical applications preferred.o Work independently to analyze drawings, tests, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP"s) transparency photograph grading, Key characteristics, SPC and other data to perform inspection tasks.o Support the Quality Engineers in writing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP"s) to continually meet customer requirements while simultaneously ensuring that business and production interests are maintained.o Support the Quality Engineers in proposing and evaluating improved inspection techniques to increase efficiency and accuracy of the inspection processes.o Help develop Key Process Indicators (KPI"s), Statistical Process Charts (SPC"s) and other data and assist with driving continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system at all levels within the organization.o Act as company liaison with source and other external inspectors.o Commitment to continued education and expansion of technical skills.o Work in a fast paced environment and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.Requires: Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
