And they demand a team that understands mutual trust and integrity are necessary to execute massive undertakings on near-impossible deadlines.From coast to coast, notable projects include The Purple Line (D Line) Extensions in Los Angeles, SR 99 Viaduct replacement tunnel in Seattle, East Side Access projects and the Hudson Yards Platform in New York, Central Subway Third Street Light Rail in San Francisco, and multiple airport expansions and bridge projects.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDESCRIPTION:As the Director of Total Rewards reporting to The Vice President of Human Resources you will have the opportunity tocreate and manage comprehensive compensation programs and support benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent while ensuring competitive and equitable practices aligned with organizational goals.Compensation Strategy and Design· Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards philosophy that aligns with company culture and strategic goals· Conduct in-depth market analysis using compensation benchmarking sources· Design complex compensation frameworks including:o Base salary structureso Short-term and long-term incentive variable pay planso Executive compensation programso Performance-based variable pay strategies· Create pay equity analysis and recommendations· Develop job architecture and career progression frameworks· Implement advanced compensation modeling techniquesPerformance Management System Design and Management· Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop performance management frameworks that align with total rewards strategy· Oversee the performance management system, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes to reward individual, team, business unit, and corporate achievement.· Ensure performance expectations are clearly communicated and aligned with organizational goals.Strategic Partnerships and Compliance· Collaborate with broader HR, Talent Acquisition, and finance departments· Ensure compliance with federal and state compensation regulations· Maintain expertise in:o ERISA guidelineso IRS compensation regulationso Equal Pay Act requirementso ACA complianceEmployee Experience and Communication· Develop compelling total rewards communication strategies· Create personalized total compensation statements· Design employee education programs about compensation and benefits· Implement feedback mechanisms for rewards programsTotal Rewards Technology and Analytics· Implement and optimize total rewards management technologies· Develop advanced analytics dashboards for compensation and benefits metrics· Create predictive modeling for compensation trends· Conduct ROI analysis for rewards programs· Implement data visualization tools for stakeholder communicationBenefits Program Support· Serve as a support, backup, and contributor to the Benefits function as it relates to Total Rewards plans and programs:o Self-insured medical, dental, vision, Rx, etco Company-sponsored, voluntary and supplemental insuranceo Disability and LOAo 401k RetirementREQUIREMENTS:Educational Background· Master's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Compensation Management· Advanced certifications preferred:o Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)o SHRM-SCPProfessional Experience· Minimum 10 years total rewards experience and blend of other HR functional experience· Proven track record in multi-business unit compensation strategy· Experience in organizations with 1000+ employees· Demonstrated success in cost-effective rewards design· Some public company work experience required· Preferred experience in commercial construction or other and related industrials verticals· Preferred experience at the Corporate COE level in a complex, multi-state, multi-unit environmentTechnical Competencies· Workday modules: Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Benefits· Advanced Excel· Compensation management software (CompAnalyst or other)Key Competencies· Strategic business partnering· Advanced financial acumen· Complex problem-solving· Data-driven decision making· Exceptional interpersonal communication· Change managementCompensation Range: $195,000 - $215,000 + Annual Bonus: 15% of base salary + comprehensive benefits packageTutor Perini builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
