Description A Healthcare company in Torrance, California has a short-term contract employment opportunity for an HR Generalist. This role focuses on reviewing and improving organizational HR processes in alignment with local, state, and federal employment laws. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for ensuring our HR operations are in line with the best practices in the industry.Responsibilities: Review and improve performance evaluation processes, termination processes, job descriptions, and classifications. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws, and advise management on policy updates. Analyze and suggest improvements to HR practices to keep our operations competitive. Maintain and update employee records and databases to ensure accurate personnel information. Facilitate smooth onboarding process for new employees and assist with completion of required documentation. Create and implement company policies and guidelines to ensure consistency across departments. Prepare and deliver HR-related reports and presentations to provide data to stakeholders and decision-makers. Keep abreast of labor laws to ensure company compliance and avoid potential legal issues. Utilize ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, Dayforce and other relevant HR software programs. Perform Benefit Functions and ensure compliance with FMLA regulations. Maintain strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.Requirements Requirements:Possession of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in a Human Resources role. Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now. Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode. Proficiency in using Ceridian and Dayforce HR software. Experience in managing Benefit Functions in an organization. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Compliance laws and regulations related to HR. Experience with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Availability to work full time, with occasional overtime as needed. Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools as required. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal development and learning in HR. Proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.
