Generally Located In Vandenberg Space Force Base, near Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California and across the California Central Coast; Western United States; North America Region (Of Country/World) Work On Client Site.Delivering mission-critical fire protection engineering, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety solutions safeguarding Navy installations.  Providing designated fire protection engineering, design reviews, life safety assessments, and compliance support across NIWC.  Overseeing assigned fire protection responsibilities, coordinating with authorities, and guiding engineering reviews and modernization for NIWC.  Authority Having Jurisdiction. It is the organization, office, or individual authorized to interpret and enforce applicable fire protection and life safety requirements and approve relevant designs, systems, or installations.  In the NIWC context, AHJ coordination means working with the designated Navy or installation authority to resolve code interpretations, address design-review findings, and obtain required approvals.
