COMPANY BACKGROUND:
Family and woman-owned and operated, we are a growing, 24/7, union, commercial, plumbing service company. We service the South Bay, Los Angeles, Pasadena, San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Ventura areas. Our offices are currently in Simi Valley.
POSITION:
We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper and office manager. Great customer service skills would be required as the position will also be accepting client calls and dispatching service techs as a backup to our dispatcher. This person will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide skilled and confident work. At present, there is an office of 3 to manage and the field has approximately 20 lead service techs and assistants. This position will report directly to the owners while working closely with our Service Field Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
All accounting-related items such as A/R, A/P, Payroll
Manage general incoming service calls/emails
Working and communicating well with Field Supervisor, lead techs, dispatcher, and other office team members to ensure everyone is servicing clients promptly, accurately, and courteously
Assisting with quotes, including working with Purchasing to price material, as needed
Supporting techs with good communication and anything they need to service our clients, including Ipads, phones, applications, etc.
Maintain and manage accurate, neat, and orderly logs, ‘on call’ calendar, and schedule board
Managing Injury reporting and minimizing exposure
Assist in scheduling training/safety classes for techs
Increasing customer base with mailings, some tradeshows, cold and follow-up calls, etc.
Customer retention with follow up calls, thank you letters, reminder fliers, holiday gifts, etc.
Other tasks as required such as filing, answering phones, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Degree or certificate with experience in bookkeeping/accounting
Proficiency in SAGE 100 Contractor/SSO would be beneficial
Proficiency in MS Windows, especially MS Word and Excel, Google, Teams, and Outlook
Experience in Customer Service (Dispatching/scheduling a plus)
I-9 Documents to Prove Authorization to Work in U.S.
Able to Pass Drug Screen and Background Check
Discreetness/confidentiality agreement will be signed
Good Command of English Language / Spanish is helpful

COMPENSATION:
Full Time
$28-34/hour DOE
