Established Automotive Repair Business Seeking Experienced and Effective Service Director
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the auto repair operations, including scheduling, budgeting, service delivery and employee management
Maintain laser focus on profit growth and 5 star customer satisfaction
Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction by maintaining a high level of technician work performance
Continuously assess and effectively grow technician skills
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners
Implement and maintain safe and efficient working procedures and practices
Track and manage inventory levels and ensure the timely ordering of supplies and parts
Maintain accurate and timely financial data and to improve profitable growth
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards and requirements
Lead and motivate team to maintain a high level of morale
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to set an example
Work effectively as a positive team member to superiors, peers, subordinates, and adjacent employees
Requirements:
3 years minimum as lead auto repair technician or service writer AND
3 years minimum as service manager in an auto repair shop
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
Previous experience with performance management including setting and enforcing objectives, coaching, and managing discipline
Technical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Experience with automotive shop management software - Shopmonkey a plus
Ability to handle high-stress situations
Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Fluency in computer and texting tools
Ability to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions
A demonstrated understanding of the auto diagnostic and repair technologies and current repair techniques
High school diploma or GED is required
Must possess a current valid driver's license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
