Miner’s Ace Hardware, a family-owned business with 9 stores on California’s beautiful Central Coast, is seeking a Personnel Manager who thrives in a dual-role environment. Reporting to the Store Manager, this position blends hands-on retail experience with essential administrative responsibilities to help drive store success. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to support staffing, scheduling, and daily operations while maintaining a consistent presence on the sales floor.
What You’ll Do:
Hybrid Role: Balance personnel duties with direct customer interaction on the sales floor
Scheduling: Create weekly employee schedules for Store Manager approval
Timekeeping: Maintain accurate timecards and ensure timely submission
Onboarding & Training: Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing new team members
Sales Support: Ensure promotional signage is up to date and visually effective
Operations: Process store banking and support store opening/closing procedures
Leadership Presence: Be a consistent in-store support and role model for team members
