1. Assisting individuals that we serve in their homes with tasks such as budgeting, meal planning, hygiene practices, and
activities of daily living (ADLs).
2. Support/Mentor/train in movement in and around their community like taking the bus, calling government assisted
transport services.
3. Providing opportunities for the individuals we serve to develop socialization/interpersonal communication skills and
practice self-regulation/coping techniques
4. Providing hands-on training, observation, and evaluation of the individuals we serve's household tasks and assisting
with further development, grocery shopping etc.
5. Advocating with individuals we serve for inclusion in the community and empowering them to exercise their rights
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, and
others in a positive and constructive manner
High school diploma or GED
Must pass a DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting background clearance
Valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
Reliable Smart Phone and willingness to download work-related applications
Spanish speaking is a plus.
Starting wage is based on experience. 16-36hours/week
