We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing information and stories about our attractions, ensuring that guests have an engaging and memorable experience. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups through various sites, providing educational insights, and answering questions to enhance the overall visitor experience. Expedition America is looking to fill the following tours departing from CSU Channel Islands in Camarillo ($225 per day)
Tuesday, July 22nd: Beverly Hills & Hollywood + Dinner
Thursday, July 24th: Beverly Hills & Hollywood + Dinner
Most of the tours depart at 11:30 am - 1:30 pm and return by time is between 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Lead guided tours for individuals or groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Communicate effectively with guests, providing clear instructions and engaging narratives.
Manage time efficiently to adhere to scheduled tour times while allowing for guest interaction.
Address any questions or concerns from guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Maintain knowledge of current events, updates, and changes related to the tour locations.
Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages visitor engagement and satisfaction.
Requirements
Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
Demonstrated leadership qualities to effectively manage group dynamics during tours.
Ability to educate others in an engaging manner while conveying complex information simply.
Strong time management skills to keep tours on schedule without compromising quality.
Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required.
