Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Glazier to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation, framing, and various carpentry skills, with the ability to work efficiently on commercial and residential projects. This role offers opportunities for growth in a dynamic construction environment, requiring proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint reading. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality window and glass installations, ensuring safety and craftsmanship standards are met.
Duties
Install, replace, and repair windows, glass panels, and related fixtures on construction sites.
Measure and cut glass to specifications using fabrication tools and schematics.
Read blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements and layouts.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete installations accurately.
Perform caulking, sealing, and trim carpentry to ensure proper fit and finish of windows and glass fixtures.
Assist with framing, metal stud framing, door hanging, cabinet installation, and fixture installation as needed.
Conduct remodeling tasks including construction painting, metal stud framing, and drywall work.
Heavy lifting of glass panels or materials safely while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety standards are followed during installations.
Requirements
Proven experience in glass installation, window glazing, or related construction fields.
Knowledge of construction estimating, schematics reading, and fabrication processes.
Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, caulking guns; familiarity with power tools is essential.
Experience with blueprint reading for precise measurements and project planning.
Skills in carpentry including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and remodeling.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit to handle demanding tasks throughout the workday.
Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with metal stud framing and construction painting is a plus.
Maintenance Person experience or background in manufacturing or remodeling projects is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
