After Hours Guest Services - Shelter Social Club

The responsibilities include guest interaction, ensuring the properties are secure and quiet throughout the night, and tidying around the grounds to ensure everything is in order for guests and staff in the morning. Handling all after hours calls for 3 properties including room lock outs, loud guests, maintenance issues and other things that may arise throughout the night. Working closely with the front desk teams, giving a hand around the property in various ways, and the ability to build and maintain professional and meaningful relationships.

We are hiring for Sundays and Mondays (+ occasional staffing coverage) / Shift is 10pm - 6am

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Genuine approach in the care and thoughtfulness in all areas of hospitality and service for employees and guests.

Promptly answers guest calls and Whistle messages with care and thoroughness.

A willingness to help a guest in person and going above and beyond to ensure guests feel accommodated and taken care of.

Maintains knowledge and understanding of Shelter Social Club offerings and locations.

Maintain open lines of communication with management and front desk staff as it relates to any goings on after-hours.

Maintains complete knowledge of the PMS (reservation) system.

Inspect properties throughout the night for cleanliness, safety hazards, and making sure all gates and doors are locked.

Work onsite at SSC Ojai properties for each shift.

Familiar with all SSC locations, services, and local recommendations to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

Respond and report guest service-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.

Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.

Maintain strong communication and build relationships with all property teams and departments.

Prepare any written reports such as end-of-shift communication.

Protect and guard against abuse or loss of company property.

Continuous presence between all properties throughout shift; by walking grounds mitigating any real-time issues, and resolving any guest inquiries that may arise while onsite.

Operates the PMS-system by responding to incoming calls, and in-person inquiries regarding reservations; taking reservations and canceling reservations.

Performs the duties of a Front Desk staff member when needed.

Starts shifts by reading all closing shifts reports, checking in with Front Desk at each location to build awareness of “out-of-ordinary" circumstances that might be needing extra attention/monitoring. Preparing oneself stepping into shift.

EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate in verbal and written English with guests, management, and co-workers

Previous hospitality experience and maintenance experience preferred

Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow-up and execution

Other languages, mathematical, and reasoning abilities as outlined below

Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below

Technologically sound with Google applications

Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations

Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule

Experience in operating various equipment and tools

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee is regularly required to talk and hear

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching

Must be physically able to wipe down surfaces, reach, twist, bend, and pick up debris from the floor or items from storage spaces

Lift/carry 25 lbs (frequently) and 50 lbs (occasionally)

May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery
